    Hi Roman,

    Given the potential language barrier for most of us, is there any value in a document that explains the sailplane and radio luggage most of us will be arriving with? Something to help explain to customs officials what we are carrying?

    Hi John,
    good point. I will ask ASFC (Aero Sports Federation of China) to prepare letter for every team, stating why and what you are carrying to China (in Chinese and English, both). Will be issued on TM name(?) and passport number, we can also state all team members. Or any better idea?

    BTW, everywhere in Chinese customs I faced very polite and relaxed atmosphere. Sure, doesn’t mean you can’t meet silly customs officer…

    In Beijing and Jinan International Airports you shoudn’t have trouble with English.

    Hello, dear you all,

    We are currently working for visa. One of the key point (that is helped by invitation letter) would be to receive soon from organisation our reservatio for the hotel. Authorities like to know where we go and where we will stay and the reservation sheet is helpfull. It will be great to receive it in advance because time we confirm and time (15th of august) we pay for registration,it could be quite late for visa…

    Here we intend to add an explaination letter to the registration form that doesn’t contains al informations link to registration. (when we arrive – needed for shuttle-, when we leave – we stay some more day to send the parts back home, number of meals due to extended stay …)

      Hi Sylvain,
      just to clarify:

      -you need invitation letter
      -you need reservation confirmation and address of hotel where you stay
      -Yiwen should personally communicate with every team and clarify all other mentioned requests which you mentioned bellow (when we arrive – needed for shuttle-, when we leave – we stay some more day to send the parts back home, number of meals due to extended stay …)

      BTW in Prague to get Chinese tourist visa is about 5-7 days and 50EUR.
