The FAI-World Cup competition „1.MB Cup F3B“ in Mlada Boleslav, CZE is reduced from three to two days. It now takes place only on Saturday 07.09. and Sunday 08.09.2013
The organizer wanted to fly as much rounds as possible, also at bad weather conditions; therefore he decided to organize a “three day competition”.
Now he has the situation that only 39 pilots have decided to visit this competition; this is not very motivating for a new organizer.
In the past days I had intense discussion with the organizer and he decided to reduce the competition from three to two days, accepting that there are too many “three-days-competitions”, especially if we have also the World Championship this year.
We hope that the shortening of this competition will increase the interest and therefore the number of participants.
More participants would motivate the organizer to organize also a F3B-competition in the future.
We need every organizer to get a secure basis for our sport.
I trust your understanding and I hope that some more pilots will join the competition in Mlada Boleslav.
